Tom White can be characterized as a person who leads by example and commitment. Tom has a genuine concern for his local area and gets involved.  The cooperative, the school, the community and his church benefit from Tom's leadership and service. His positive attitude is reflected in everything he does.


At Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Tom's 19 years of service on the board includes two years as secretary and seven years as vice-president. In addition, Tom has served as the President for Ray-Carroll Fuels, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary, since 2003.


Tom does not press his own views. Instead he leads by developing consensus to benefit the entire membership. Within the Ray-Carroll board Tom champions innovative ways to serve the members that also secure the long-term viability of the cooperative. Tom consistently represents the agricultural member's interest by ensuring that the cooperative is responsive, fiscally sound, and progressive.


During his service on the Ray-Carroll board the cooperative has invested heavily in the future including four new train loading facilities, the biodiesel plant in Mexico, and the ethanol plant in Carrollton.


As a member of Ray-Carroll and FCS Financial, Tom promotes use of the cooperative way of business to his friends and neighbors.  In the words of fellow board members Tom is respected as an effective facilitator and an outstanding communicator. He is viewed as an excellent spokesman for Ray-Carroll and for the cooperative system.
